Tabung with Daily Interest is a goal-based savings feature within the MAE app by Maybank, designed to help users save more intentionally while earning daily interest. It allows users to set personal savings goals—such as for travel, emergency funds, or big purchases—and track their progress in real time. The feature is built to promote healthy financial habits by making saving simple, rewarding, and more engaging.
Problem
Many users find it hard to save money consistently. Traditional savings accounts don’t help with goal setting or keeping users motivated.
Competitors like GX Bank and TNG eWallet now offer goal-based savings features, making it easier for users to manage their money. Maybank needed a similar solution to stay relevant and meet changing user needs.
